Cha Tae Hyun Is Ready to Accept Criticism For Film Sequel “My Sassy Girl 2″

Cha Tae Hyun announced during an interview on September 19 that he will soon begin filming for “My Sassy Girl 2” with Victoria from f(x).

“My Sassy Girl 2″ is the sequel to the extremely popular romance comedy from 2001, “My Sassy Girl.” Cha Tae Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun starred in the original movie together, and the movie is still considered one of their major works.

Cha Tae Hyun mentioned that he was initially reluctant to appear in the sequel. “I had numerous reasons why I decided to shoot this movie. I wasn’t going to at first, but I saw that ShinCine is producing it and director Jo Seung Sik will be directing, so I decided to take on the role.”

He further added, “I’m ready for the criticisms about not having Jun Ji Hyun in the movie. I like series, but I wasn’t expecting ‘My Sassy Girl’ to turn into a series.”

“Star Gazing” Reveals Old High School Photos of Super Junior from Best to Worst

On the September 18 Super Junior special of MBC’s “Star Gazing,” old high school graduation photos of the members were revealed, much to the dismay of the members.

Shin Dong, however, had no qualms about the photos, saying that he actually looked much better back then. Ryeowook even mentioned that Shin Dong looked like Ashton Kutcher. So the hosts revealed his photo first, and decided to reveal the photos in order from best to worst.

Next up was Kyuhyun, who seemed unaffected, saying he’s only really changed in one way – double eyelids.

Leeteuk came in third, with the classic ‘knife cut’ often reminiscent of old groups like Shinhwa and H.O.T back in the day.

Eunhyuk didn’t have much to say except that he’s thankful to SM. Shin Dong added, “They saw potential in that face…”

Ryeowook’s photo was revealed last, at which he insisted he had had a lot to eat the previous day.

Meanwhile, the September 18 Super Junior special was the final episode for “Star Gazing.”

Daesung to Release a Japanese Solo Mini Album and a Concert DVD in October

BIGBANG member Daesung will be releasing a Japanese solo mini album and a concert DVD in October.

The mini album “D-Lite” will be a unique album that will consist of Daesung’s enka songs. Enka is a popular music genre in Japan, similar to the trot genre in Korea. In fact, Japanese versions of Daesung’s trot songs “Look At Me, Gwisoon” and “Big Hit” will be included in the upcoming album, along with other cover songs and three new enka songs.

Daesung will also be releasing a concert DVD, consisting of footage from his successful Japanese solo concert tour through eight cities with 15 shows.

Daesung’s upcoming mini album will be released on October 23, while his concert DVD will be released on October 22.

Internationally renowned pop star Michael Bolton will be having his own special on the singing program “Immortal Song.”

According to a broadcast insider at KBS, “Immortal Song” has planned a Michael Bolton special, and it will be filmed on September 28.

So far, according to reports, Hyorin, Ailee, Jay Park, So Hyang, Park Jung Hyun, Moon Myung Jin, and Seo Ji Ahn have been confirmed for the special to cover the singer’s songs. One insider commented, “as Michael Bolton is a living legend in pop music, the singers were very competitive in picking their respective songs.”

Michael Bolton is known for his classic pop tunes such as “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.” He has won two Grammy awards and has sold 75 million records to date.

“My Lovely Girl” Grabs the Online Audience, Finishes Online Week ahead of “My Spring Day” and “Blade Man”

SBS’ “My Lovely Girl,” which just aired its first two episodes this past week, has grabbed the online community. According to the ratings from Tving, a real-time online TV broadcast service, the viewer ratings for “My Lovely Girl” were at 15.5 percent, while “My Spring Day” and “Blade Man” recorded 8.6 and 7.2 percent, respectively.

This is a bit different from the viewer ratings data recorded by Nielsen Korea, which had “My Spring Day” coming in at 11.1 percent and “Blade Man” at 5.0 percent.

“My Lovely Girl” seems to especially have the attention of the younger viewing audience, eliciting a hot commentary on online sites about the drama.

Previously, for the first episode, “My Lovely Girl” had come in second behind “My Spring Day,” according to the ratings data provided by Nielsen Korea.

The representatives of the drama revealed, “Episodes seven and eight, which air this week, will feature cameos by Park Eun Ji and John Park.”

Recently, Lee Hongki’s character poster for the upcoming SBS drama “Modern Farmer” was released on their official homepage. In the drama, Lee Hongki will play the role of genius rocker Lee Min Ki.

In one of the released posters, Lee Hongki can be seen wearing a cool studded leather jacket, with a hard core rock spirit image. However, the caption says, “What? Lee Hongki has a cabbage farm?” which brought fans to wonder what was going on. In another poster, the caption says, “2014 Hard Rock It Bag New Clutch Bag—This Is the Least You Should Have If You Want to Be a Rock Band Leader.” But, the image contrasts with the caption as Lee Hongki holds a huge cabbage rather than an actual clutch bag. What makes it funnier is the chic expression he makes as he poses with the cabbage.

Meanwhile, “Modern Farmer” will be about the members of a rock band, Ex-So (Excellent Souls), who end up moving to the countryside to farm. There, the story will follow their dreams, love, and friendship in the form of a comedy. It will air its first episode next month after the ending of “Glorious Days.”
